Celtic Tree Month of Oak (00:00 - June 10th, 2012)
Oak is strongly associated with the God during the Summer months and represents his vitality. It is, not surprisingly, ruled by the sun and connected to the element of Fire. Oak has been considered sacred by so many traditions, perhaps the most famous being the Druids.
The Oak is sacred to Brighid, Hecate and Pan and sometimes the goddess Artemis. It also has connections with the thunder gods: Jupiter, Thor and Zeus. This is probably connected to the Oak's uncanny ability to attract lightning!
The Oak tree is also connected to the Wild Hunt and Herne the Hunter. It is said that there was a specific tree in Windsor Forest / Windsor Great Park that was Herne's tree; although I did (when I lived in the area) try to find out which tree it was and had no luck at all!
The Oak is associated with strength, longevity and prosperity (because of the acorns) and you can certainly bring acorns into any money magick that you perform.
